Course Description
IN225: BICSI Installer 2, Copper Training is a hands-on/application-focused course which sets the foundation of a copper-based structured cabling system installation. The course includes topics on professionalism, copper transmission principles and general safety practices associated with copper cabling. A significant amount of course time is spent on BICSI best practices for the installation, termination and testing of copper cable as outlined in the 8th edition of the Information Technology Systems Installation Methods Manual (ITSIMM).

note: All students registering for virtual classes outside of the
continental United States should allow 4 weeks for delivery of classroom
materials. Please provide accurate shipping address when registering for
classes. Inaccurate shipping address will result in additional fees to ensure

What equipment and materials do I need to participate in the virtual course?
To successfully participate in the virtual classroom training, each attendee is required to have:
•Laptop or desktop that meet the system requirements
noted here .
•Microphone and speakers (headset recommended**).
•Standalone webcams and/or mobile device camera for class activities.
•Internet connection - 1 Mbps or better (broadband recommended) | 3G connection or better (Wi-Fi recommended for VoIP audio).
•Information
Technology Systems Installation Methods Manual (ITSIMM), print or
electronic. Click here to purchase. The manual is not included in the course fee.
•Personal or prescription safety glasses.
NOTE: Students registering for this
virtual course will also need to have a set of their own tools or have access to

What BICSI will provide:
BICSI will provide and ship the classroom materials to
the physical mailing address provided by each student. This includes student
workbook and classroom consumable materials. Each student
must purchase the ITSIMM and EXAM separately.

You must apply to take the BICSI Installer 2, Copper®
(INSTC®) Certification exam. Click here
